Sadly, not all industrial coating project are prepared properly, applied properly, or even specified properly, and many of them fail LONG before their life expectancy!
Some failures are small and easy to fix, others are extremely large projects where human life is in the balance (fireproofing not applied properly for example).
There are many possible scenarios and reasons for these failures but the bottom line is as the asset owner, when you realize there is possibly a failure of the coating system, there is a very high degree of probability that you didn’t get the coating system that you paid for!
